Neck pain & headaches
Stiff, sore neck, or headaches that seem to start at the base of your skull? Neck tension and certain headaches often go hand in hand — and both are common things we help people with. Saturday appointments at Brotherhood Wholeness, Burleigh Heads.
Neck pain frequently comes from a mix of muscular tension, joint restrictions, and posture — particularly from long hours at a desk or screen. Because the muscles and joints of the neck are closely linked to certain types of headache, addressing what’s happening in the neck and upper back can often help headaches that stem from there too.
Treatment begins with assessing how your neck, upper back and shoulders are moving, since stiffness in one area often drives strain in another. Hands-on techniques — soft tissue work, joint mobilisation, dry needling and muscle energy techniques — are then used to ease tension and restore movement, alongside practical advice to reduce the day-to-day contributors.
Your initial 40-minute appointment covers a full history and assessment, hands-on treatment, and a clear plan — all in the one visit. No referral needed, and with HICAPS on site you can claim your private health rebate — or Medicare with an eligible care plan — on the spot.
